THE CURSE
SG-1 team member Dr. Daniel Jackson has been granted a leave of absence to attend the funeral of his archeology professor, Dr. David Jordan. Dr. Jordan, a noted scientist and teacher, was killed in an freak accident while studying an artifact labelled as the "Osiris Jar". A memorial service is to to be held later today at the Montgomery Park Cemetary in Chicago, Illinois. Rather than assign a replacement to the team, I've given the rest of the team 72 hours of well-deserved leave. Major Carter has expressed an interest in working within the base on some personal projects. Teal'c and Colonel O'Neill are enroute to Minnesota for a fishing trip.
