Jeri was born Jeri Lynn Zimmermann on February 22, 1968. she was born in Germany, moved to the US while young. and after living in Kansas, Maryland, Hawaii, Georgia and Texas by age 11. Her family eventually settled in Kentucky, Her father was an American soldier. Jeri graduated from Lone Oak High School in Paducah, KY in 1986.





Jeri went North-western University, where in 1990 she earned a B.A. in Theatre.  While in college she won the sixth annual Miss North-western Pageant in 1989. As junior majoring in Speech she also won the talent contest singing "On My Own" from Les Miserables, Jeri competed in several beauty pageant's she was Miss Illinois in 1989 and competed in the 1990 Miss America pageant. Jeri also achieved "National Merit Scholar".





After graduation, Jeri embarked on a career as an actress, winning roles on television movies and series including Melrose Place, The Flash, Time Trax , Matlock and. Dark Skies, and in film roles in Men Cry Bullets," she joined the series of Voyager half way through its run something she had done in Dark Skies, she played a very good Seven of Nine a Borg/human.





After completing four seasons as Seven of Nine, Jeri is now to be in a more contemporary role with her addition to David E. Kelley's high school drama Boston Public. Episodes in this will begin airing in autumn 2001.  She has one son, Alex.



I am sorry this is brief! 
I think The role of the Borg was  very good , however as a Trekkie I though it was a bit sad to see the roles of Chakotay, Nielex, Janeway, and Paris cut to the bone, to accommodate the failing ratings perhaps taking the series off 2 years ago would have been wiser. Jeri Lynn Ryan's role as 7 of 9 was very well done. And a beautiful woman among the best beauties of Trek and if you look at The Original Series you will see what I  mean. "Go On! Have a look :)
