THE RETURN OF THE ARCHONS
Sulu is beamed back from an away mission in a strange vacant
state of mind. Kirk takes a team down to the planet Beta 3, to
find a missing crewman.
He finds the people of the planet are vacant, peaceful, and
contented that is until evening comes, when the people lose all
control and begin rioting, looting and attacking each other. The
team take refuge in a nearby house, three old men want to know
why they are not taking part in the "festival".
