Kirk and the Enterprise go to a planet ruled by a computer like creature called Vaal. While this is an idyllic world, the people are child like, no cares, allowing Vaal to care for them and in return they make offerings to it, Kirk and crew, try to tell the people of this quiet planet, that the way they live is wrong, and that they have a right to govern themselves, Vaal has other ideas about this .
