THE PARADISE SYNDROME
An asteroid rushes toward an unfamiliar planet; beaming down
the crew find a civilization similar to that of the American
Indian. Their number are few and the Enterprise could easily
evacuate them this would be no problem, until Kirk disappears
inside a strange obelisk that must have been built by an outside
culture.
By the time Kirk reappears the Enterprise has gone, Spock has to
leave him and concentrate on deflecting the asteroid. Kirk has
lost his memory, and falls in love with Miramanee and is treat
like a god, Spock and McCoy are in conflict, each blaming the
other for leaving Jim behind.
