THE EMPATH

While searching for missing Federation researchers , Captain Kirk ,Spock and McCoy are captured by the Vians, aliens who will use them for research ! they materialize in a location, there they meet a mute woman, she is an empath  curing injuries by absorbing the pain of others.
Kirk and McCoy are brutally tortured and the Vians watch "Gem" a name given to her by McCoy. She has to absorb the pain and damage McCoy has endured at the hands of the Vians, she will have to give her life to save the doctor in return her planet will be saved.
