A geologist called D`Amato, Kirk, McCoy and Sulu beam down to explore a geologically unstable planet. There they are greeted by a beautiful woman called Losira her touch is deadly.On Board the Enterprise there is a power surge that sends them a 1000 light years from the landing party, stranding them on this hostile planet. Losira tries to touch members of the landing party, and they have to devise ways to keep her away from them. Meanwhile Scotty has his hands full with a starship that has been sabotaged, the engines may blow up!
