THE CLOUD MINDERS

When an epidemic strikes a Federation Planet, Captain Kirk and the Enterprise head for Ardana the only planet where an antidote, zeinite is mined.
However Kirk finds the miners called Troglytes are treat like slaves by the planet's rulers. The troglytes are suspicious of Kirks motives , and the refuse to give him the zenite. And without it billions will die.The rulers of the planet live in a cloud like city while the slaves live below on the planet. Spock is somewhat dismayed at the lack of understanding between the two cultures. It is up to Kirk and Spock to find a way to bring some equality to these people and maybe get the zenite they desperately need for the epidemic.
