The Enterprise is on a routine training mission , when admiral Kirk receives an urgent communication from Space Laboratory Regula One.

A top secret device named The Project Genesis, has been appropriated by Kirks old enemy Khan, a renegade from the 20th century, who threatens to use this device in a deadly game of revenge.

Khan gains control of a Federation Star ship and sets out in pursuit of the Enterprise, determined to let nothing stand in the way of his mission. To Kill Admiral James T Kirk.

 

 

Bones: Dam it Jim what the hell is the matter with you, other people have birthdays, why are we treating yours like a dam funeral, This is not about age and you know it, it is about you flying a computer console, when you want to be out there hopping galaxies.

Kirk: Don't mince words Bones what do you really think? Bones: Jim I am a doctor and I am your friend, Get back your command, get it back before you turn into part of this collection, before you really do grow old.

 

Kirk: We have a problem, something may be wrong at Regula 1, we have been ordered to investigate. If memory serves Regula 1 is a scientific research laboratory. I told Starfleet Command all we had was a boat load of children, but we are the only ship in this quadrant, Spock how good are these cadets, how will they respond under real pressure?

 Kirk: Of course the ship is yours. Spock: No that wont be necessary!. Jim you proceed from a false assumption, I am a Vulcan, I have no ego to bruise, If I may be so bold, it was a mistake for you to accept promotion, commanding a star ship is your first best destiny. Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few, or the one. 

Spock: You are my superior officer, you are also my friend, I have and always shall be yours. 

   

Kahn:    I never forget a face Mr. Chekov isn’t it! I never thought. I’d see your face again , You are in the position to demand nothing sir! I on the other hand am in a position to grant nothing! What you see is all that remains of the ships company and crew, of the Botany Bay marooned here fifteen years ago, By James T Kirk. Setia Alpha 6 exploded six months after we were left, Admiral Kirk never bothered to check on our progress.

Chekov:   Oh sir it was Khan! we found him on Setia Alpha 5, he put creatures in to our bodies to control our minds, made us say lies, do things, but we beat him, he thought he controlled us, but he could not. Where is DR Marcus? where is the Genesis materials? He could not find them, even the data banks were empty, they tortured those people they wouldn’t tell him anything, he went wild, he wanted to tear the place apart. He blames you for the death of his wife.

 Kirk: I know what he blames me for. 

   

Kirk:   Khan you blood sucker! you are going to have to do your own dirty work now. 

Khan:   Kirk you are still alive my old friend!!

Kirk:   "Still old friend"! you have managed to kill just about everyone else, but like a poor marksman you keep on missing the target,  Khan:  Perhaps I no longer need to try Admiral. 

Kirk:  Khan you have Genesis but you don’t have me you are going to have to come down here to kill me.

Khan:  I have done far worse than kill, I have hurt you, and I want to go on hurting you, I shall leave you as you left me, as you left her, marooned for all eternity in the centre of a dead planet, buried alive, buried alive!

Khan! Khan!

 

 

 

David:   Its the Genesis wave it is on a build up to detonation in 4 minutes,
  Kirk:  Scotty I need warp power in 3 minutes or we are all dead. 

Bones: Are you out of your Vulcan mind, no human can stand the radiation that is in there.

 Spock: as you are so fond of pointing out Doctor I am not human, sorry Doctor I have no time to discuss this logically, -"Remember".

Kirk:  Spock!    Jim out of danger?        Yes!         

Spock :   Don't grieve for me Admiral it is logical, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one, I have and always shall be your friend . Live long and prosper,

Kirk:   Of my friend I can only say this, Of all the souls that I have encountered in my travels." His was the most Human."

Kirk:     Star Ship Enterprise departed Setia Alpha 5 to pick up the crew of the USS Reliant, All is well, and yet I can’t help wondering about the friend I leave behind, there are always possibilities Spock said, and if the Genesis is indeed life from death. I must return to this place again, it is a far better thing than I have ever done before, a far better resting place than I have come to have know.
