There is a world where time as we know it stands still. Were every moment in itself is a Universe, but what if the existence of this World, and its secret to eternal youth is threatened. There is no reason to fear me, I am now operating within normal perameters. Captain the boy is afraid of me. Its nothing personal Data , you have to remember these people have rejected technology, I am the personification of everything these people have rejected. Until this week that young man, probably had never seen a machine , let alone one that walks and talks.

I know what a holegram is Captain. The question is why would anyone want to create one of our village. Why would they duplicate this village except to deceive the Bak'u, to move you off this planet, you go to sleep one night in the village, wake up the next morning on this flying holodeck, transported on mass, in a few days you are relocated on a similar planet without even realizing it. Why would the federation or the Son'a wish to move the Bak'u.

We came here from a solar system on the verge of self annihilation, where technology had created weapons that threatened to destroy all life. A small group of us set off to find a new home, a home that would be isolated from threats from other worlds. That was three hundred and nine years ago. And you haven't aged a day since then. There is an unusual metaphasic radiation coming from the planets rings continually regenerates our genetic structure .What you have here is more valuable than gold pressed latinum, I am afraid that is why someone is trying to take your world away from you.

I cant imagine what it would be like to be a machine. Perhaps it would surprise you to know , that I have often wondered what it would be like to be a child. Do machines ever play? Yes I play the violin and my chess routines are quite advanced. No! I mean haven't you ever just played for fun. Androids do not have Fun! Look if you want to know what it is like to be a child, you have to learn to play.

How can there be an order to abandon the prime directive !! The prime directive does not apply, these people are not indigenous of the this planet, they were never meant to be immortal, we will simply be restoring them to their natural evolution. Who the hell are we to determine the next course of evolution for these people. We are betraying the principle upon which the Federation was founded, it is an attack upon it's very soul.

What am I going to do without you! I wish I could stay, but these are perilous times for the Federation. I can't abandon it to people who would threaten everything I have spent a life time defending,I have to go back! even if it's only to slow down the Federation Council. But I have three hundred and eighteen days shore leave coming and I intend to use them .

Star Trek Insurrection Music

I liked this movie! it has all the Gene Roddenberry hallmarks of what Trek is all about. Patrick Stewart has mellowed Picard over the years but still keeps the character strong.Patrick received a Best Actor nomination from the American TV awards, and a Screen Actors Guild nomination for Best Actor

Brent Spiner always works hard with the role of Data, and I prefer the unemotional Android. and Brent don't worry about Data growing old, we are able to make the adjustment, we are growing old with him.

Gates, Dorn and Frakes played supporting roles, polished and reliable as ever.
I was sorry to see Marina Sirtis has allowed the London accent to creep into the role of Deanna Troi, and what has happened to the perfect grooming that was her trade mark.

LeVar Burton wonderful role you played and the scene with the sunset was one of those wonderful Star Trek moments that the late DeForest Kelley referred too, in an interview not so long ago. Great to see those lovely deep black eyes at last. Just enough romance, action, humour, and intrigue to make Insurrection one of my now favourite Trek Movies.

MORE STAR TREK ON THE WAY

It certainly seems that there will be another series, as if there was any doubt! It seems that Rick Berman has got the nod for another series, something he's talking about in many interviews.

Executive producer Rick Berman says he plans to develop a new Star Trek series within three years at the latest. "We're about to have a unique circumstance where there is going to be only one Star Trek show on the air for the first time in many years.

Though Berman wouldn't elaborate on the potential premise of the new series, he says it's a pretty good bet that the next Trek will be ready to hit the air by September 2002, though it could be fast tracked to be on the air as soon as September 2000.

Berman says. "Whatever the next television series, we hope it's dramatically different but still embodies all the visions of Gene Roddenberry's idea of the future.
