Torment of Tantalus

Whilst going through film footage of Stargate, Daniel makes a discovery about experiments conducted in 1945, led by Professor Langford,and a young Ernest Littlefield. They succeeded in getting the Stargate to work. Littlefield, travelled through the wormhole, but he never returned.

Daniel tells Catherine Langford, she was to marry Ernest Littlefield, when he disappeared. The SG-1 team, joined by Langford, go in search of Littlefield. They find the professor an old gentleman. But, there's a problem the dial home device on this Stargate is damaged, and Langford and the SG-1 team may be trapped.
