When O'Neill and the SG-1 team travel through the Stargate to Chartago, home to the Bysra, Teal'c tells them it is one of the Goa'ulds favorite places to take humans to assimilate, Teal'c had visited Chartago as Apophis's head Jaffa. He is recognised by one of the Bysra, Hanno, who accuses Teal'c of killing his father.

Teal'c is put on trial, far removed from an earth trial. Hanno acts as judge and jury, Teal'c admits he killed his father, and a death sentence is given. O'Neill and the the team try to persuade Hanno that Teal'c is now the enemy of the Goa'uld, will Hanno listen.
