Emancipation

The SG-1 team meets the Shavadai on the planet Simarka, a race of people who are fierce warriors and their women have second class status. Dr.Carter won't stand for this, and on her first encounter with the Shavadai chief, she is threatened by death, but is spared because she saved the life of his son Abu.

Later Carter is kidnapped by Abu, who will trade her for the hand of Nya, the daughter of Turghan. Carter ends up the property of the warrior chief. To enable Nya and Abu to be together. Carter arranges an escape from Turghan's clutches. Nya is caught and is to be stoned to death.Carter offers a challenge of combat to Turghan. Can she prove a woman is equal to this task.
